new cruiser question

Hey all.. I'll be sailing the Summit out of Bayonne this May. What is the process for boarding? Am I gonna have to go through one of those body scanners like at the airport? (I hate those things) Also, I was considering starting my vacation the second I board by wearing my swimsuit underneath my clothes :) What time does the pool open? I'm hoping to make a a beeline straight for the pool/hot tub and therefore get some quality time in without the crowd. (Or do other people do the same?) Thanks!

Yes, you have to walk thru a body scanner (not sure why you would hate them, unless you have something to hide :eek: ) The pools are open when you board the ship and depending on weather, yes, others will be in the pool.

Yes to the scanners and on most cruises I've been on the pools are not filled until the evening, I could be wrong on the pools I'm not a pool person.

Yes to the body scanner, and your carry ons. Most people beeline to the buffet so grab a towel and enjoy!!

Cold to swim in May I'd think...we,sailed from there to Bermuda early June and it was cold, pools were empty!

You go through a metal detector scanner, not the full body scanner at airports that sees under your clothes. :eek:

Anyone just off Silly, sorry I have posted earlier on but did get response I was looking for. Who recently just off Silly knows what entertainment is onboard? Tenors Of Rock? Anything not to miss? Houseband?

Any help would be appreciated.
