Epic Questions

Hi,

I am new to NCL but have often cruised with other lines.

What can I expect on an Epic 3 or 4 night cruise in March?

-Will there be a young spring break type crowd?

-Is there a difference between the two main dining rooms? Do the menus change?

-Any recommendations for breakfast and lunch?

-What kind of entertainment can I expect on a shorter cruise?

-Is there a comedy show?

-What kind of live music is there on the Epic?

Thank you very much.

Alright, I am also going on the Epic in March, and this is what I have gleaned:

1. There will probably be a March Break crowd, it is March Break time.

2. I understand that the menus are pretty much the same in the main dining rooms.

3. I like taking breakfast back to my room from the buffet and lunch has many options.

4. I believe that the shows on the seven day cruise and three day cruises are the same.

5. There is lots of live music on the Epic. There is apparently an amazing Beatles show and I'm not sure about the rest, but no NCL cruise I've ever been on didn't have a variety of music options.

I hope this helps.

a great time!

-Will there be a young spring break type crowd?

there will be a good number of younger passengers. Remember that anyone under 21 needs to be accompanied by an adult.

-Is there a difference between the two main dining rooms? Do the menus change?

the Manhattan Room and Taste menus are similar and change every night.

-Any recommendations for breakfast and lunch?

. Buffet breakfast. O'Shehans lunch. Maybe sushi.

-What kind of entertainment can I expect on a shorter cruise?

same as a longer cruise. The do no change.

-Is there a comedy show?

yes

-What kind of live music is there on the Epic?

music for all ages and tastes

Thank you very much.

Enjoy!

Hey hey! I took a little cruise on the Epic. All in all really enjoyed her the only thing I would comment on is the strange layout of the bathroom although that didn't bother me! (Toilet one side and shower the other)

I've been on cruises in spring break time and never had any problem with spring breakers, I am 22 though so maybe I am the problem ha ha. Hope not!

There will be a comedy show and the normal type of Broadway shows, on the bigger ships they just repeat the shows on multiple nights so you really shouldn't lose out and miss anything.

I do like to go to the main restaurants for breakfast, pretty much the same as the buffet but it's brought to you and you don't have to fight.

I could go on about NCL forever but I won't bore you all, here's a link if you fancy more of my opinions... http://cruisingisntjustforoldpeople.co.uk/2016/12/04/8-things-i-wish-i-knew-before-cruising-with-ncl/

Lots of ncl stuff on there and some photos of the epic, hope it helps!

Have a fabulous time I'm very jealous :-)

We were on Epic in January, though not for a short cruise, ours was for a week.

Breakfast options...there is of course the normal buffet, or you can get breakfast in O'Sheehans.

Yes, there is a comedy club on the Epic--during our cruise it alternated between comedy and Howl at the Moon dueling pianos. There was also a magician in there a couple of nights as well. The Cavern Club had the Epic Beatles tribute band every other night, alternating with another cover band as well.

Most nights, there were movies on the big screen at the back of the ship, and late night dance parties up there as well practically every night.
