Fortunately, that is not the case. The competition was run through the UK RCL FB page. T&C can be seen here:

 

 

They state in condition 1: The competition is only open to UK residents. Maybe there was another competition run for US citizens??

Although this was decades ago......

We 'WON' a Royal Caribbean cruise through a promotion with one of my husbands job suppliers.

Neither of us had ever been on a cruise before and we had a wonderful time....until.....:mad:

the end of the year.

We received a tax statement from the government...for the full book rate...which no one ever pays !

I have always shyed away from any contest or promotion since then.

Hope yours is a tax free trip !
