Cinco De Mayo

Hello! Or should I say Hola! We will be on the Summit on May 5th, which is Cinco De Mayo as well as our daughters 13th Birthday. Wondering if there is anything special we should look or ask for to help make it special? Any suggestions if they are free or extra charge are appreciated! I plan on bringing a small gift in my bag and decorations for her door. But always up for other special ideas. We have not cruised on a Holiday OR a Birthday before. TIA!

Let Celebrity know that it is her birthday. If you booked direct, contact them, else contact your TA and have them contact Celebrity. You MAY get a little something from Celebrity, it's kind of hit or miss, but it can't hurt!

May 5th is not an International holiday. There will normally be no special activities.

Let the Maitre'D or your waiter know a day before and usually they will bring a small cake to your dining table for dessert on her birthday.

Thanks all! I'll let our maitre D know as well as our cabin Stewart. Celebrity always makes us feel like Kings and Queens so I'm sure it will be no different this cruise!

They may have something in the Lido for Cinco de Mayo but it isn't much of a holiday even in Mexico. I used to live in Guadalajara and it was just another day. Definitely tell them on board about the birthday celebration. You will at least get a cake one night for dinner.

I believe it is mostly celebrated in Mexican Restaurants to sell deserts. :D
