Rare steveknj Posted February 22, 2017 #1 Share Posted February 22, 2017 DW and I are thinking of doing a cruise in November on the Anthem. We've never been on RCI before and are not familiar with the stern facing cabins which we are looking at. Is there any advantage or disadvantage of having one as opposed to the standard port or starboard facing cabins we are used to on other cruise liners? A Pisces Posted February 22, 2017 #2 Share Posted February 22, 2017 Well, they usually have larger balconies, but it is a long walk down the hall, every time you go to or from your room. I have to say that I love the balconies back there!

I have to say that I love the balconies back there! We were actually looking at an outside (window) cabin back there. I get the long walk, which really doesn't bother me. The only such staterooms on the Anthem are the largest and most expensive suites. Some people have complained about soot on their balconies.
