Mojo2489 Posted February 27, 2017 #1 Share Posted February 27, 2017 Can you take a towel from the ship to use at the beach on Celebrity cruises? Seems like a waste of luggage room to take a beach towel for two visits to the beach?
Hestia Posted February 27, 2017 #2 Share Posted February 27, 2017 Can you take a towel from the ship to use at the beach on Celebrity cruises? Seems like a waste of luggage room to take a beach towel for two visits to the beach? We have always been left towels for use ashore on beach days. We have always sailed concierge though so not sure if that's a perk of that stateroom or if everyone is left towels. Will be watching for other comments. jonsmum Posted February 27, 2017 #3 Share Posted February 27, 2017 No need to take any towels. If you don't have any left in your room, simply take what you need from the towel bins by the pool, and return when you are finished with them.
varoo Posted February 27, 2017 #4 Share Posted February 27, 2017 Definitely no need to bring beach towels from home. They are provided in all the cabins. Sometimes the beach towels are already there when we board the ship, and other times they leave them when they do turndown on the night before the first port day. If you do not see them, just ask your stateroom attendant (or butler) for them. The one cruise where we did not see them and asked for them, it turned out they had already been there all along, up in the cabinet above the TV, the one place we did not look. Different stateroom attendants may leave them in different places in the room. They leave one large beach towel per person, but you can request more, should you need more. Also do not bring pool towels, which are readily available at the pools, both indoor and outdoor.
illiniwahoo Posted February 27, 2017 #5 Share Posted February 27, 2017 Why shouldn't you bring the pool towels? If we are doing just a snorkel trip and not laying on the beach, I always bring the pool towel because it's smaller and fits in our snorkel bag better. I always bring them back. No one has ever said anything to me. Sent from my SM-G930V using Forums mobile app
Tiggertastic Posted February 27, 2017 #6 Share Posted February 27, 2017 We've not had any towels left in our cabins on our last 3 cruises on celebrity so we pick them up the evening before we go to get ready for dinner so we have them ready Sent from my iPad using Forums
Jeremiah1212 Posted February 27, 2017 #7 Share Posted February 27, 2017 We never had towels left in our room in Reflection week before last. Our room attendant saw us on our way out one morning and gave us two but that was it. Everyone was using the same blue pool towels on shore. I thought I had read that shore towels were different (and yellow, maybe?) but that was not what we experienced. None the less, don't bother bringing a towel from home.
