klfhngr Posted February 27, 2017 #1 Share Posted February 27, 2017 Are you able to request and get a lounger for an Aft cabin? Not a suite, standard balcony (Ruby D735)...
BalconyLover Posted February 27, 2017 #2 Share Posted February 27, 2017 I asked a few years ago and was told no - fire hazard. Sent from my SM-G930V using Forums mobile app
Colo Cruiser Posted February 27, 2017 #3 Share Posted February 27, 2017 Whats on the balcony is it. They will not allow any loungers or additional chairs etc if it does not already have them.
klfhngr Posted February 27, 2017 Author #4 Share Posted February 27, 2017 What a bummer! Big balcony, enough room for a lounger... oh well... maybe a Benjamin will help.. ;)
napunani Posted February 27, 2017 #5 Share Posted February 27, 2017 Probably not. We had an aft cabin on the Royal and Caribbean and we were told "NO".

triple7tahoe Posted February 28, 2017 #8 Share Posted February 28, 2017 Interesting thought-We have aft facing balconies on our next two cruises. The first one we are taking DD and will need three berths. Each person we talk to has a different opinion? We are trying to avoid using the pull down bunk. We have been told that we could get a rollaway with all that room and we have been told we could not get a rollaway. We were on the ship in January and asked there and got three different answers from YES to NO and a Maybe :-) We are planning on bringing an air mattress and setting on the floor at night while propping it up during the day- answer will found out in 18 days :-)

FWIW I would say since you have a drop down berth they will not allow a roll away.
PrincessLuver Posted February 28, 2017 #10 Share Posted February 28, 2017 Are you able to request and get a lounger for an Aft cabin? Not a suite, standard balcony (Ruby D735)... We always have an aft facing cabin and usually a large balcony.....we have always been told no when we ask because they say it is a safety issue? I purchased a very durable, strong and lightweight travel hammock and it works great on pretty much most of the balconies we have been on....room steward has no problem with it being out there....they are very easy to take down too if need be.....problem solved for us.....
