Thought the slot machines were requiring quarters like the old days. I brought a large bag of quarter. loL!:D

casofilia Posted February 28, 2017 #4 Share Posted February 28, 2017 You can use either cash or your room card. If you want to use the "quarter" machine there is a place to get the NCL "quarters", some people use regular quarters.

Bills only, no quarters. If you use your rook key to take a cash advance from your room account, you will be charged a 3% service charge.

They are talking about the coin push machines (whatever they are called). I though that they only took tokens.
margie1221 Posted February 28, 2017 #9 Share Posted February 28, 2017 NCL casinos have a silly but fun machine that takes quarters (or tokens) - usually located by the cage. When you drop in the coins, the machine slides the coins closer and closer to the edge - there are bills and chips mixed in with the coins - looks like they're about to fall into the shoot for you to claim but they take hours to move!!! It is possible to win, though!!! Sent from my iPad using Forums

I know they charge a fee if you want an advance at a table game but I thought you could draw money at a slot machine from your room account without the fee. I have definitely done this before - but maybe it was a few years ago or maybe it was on Carnival... Could you please reconfirm your understanding of the current policy? Thanks! Coastalbreezes Posted February 28, 2017 #12 Share Posted February 28, 2017 Still pay the 3% if you get cash from the cage or through a machine. The fee is waived if you are at Golden or VIP tier. Also note that if you get cash from the ATM, there will be a $5.50 charge (and my bank charges another $2.50 on top of that!). Tracy
