CPAP Machine for Sleep Apnea

Recommended Posts

I have taken my Cpap machine on 10 cruises. Always carry it with me. Airport security never questions it. Have always brought an extension cord with me. Some times need it, some times not. Had to go to naughty room on The Oasis, they thought it was a power strip. Showed them & no problem (yes it did take about 15 minutes to go down & prove it). Just ask the room attendant for distilled water.

Also, don't forget to fill out the special needs form

Thanks Erik!

Just completed and submitted it for our next cruise.

Also, always carry it with you. They are very expensive and could be damaged in checked luggage.

Just off Anthem. My husband brought his CPAP. There was an outlet by one of the end tables.

We filled out the special needs form before arrival. They had an extension cord (not needed) and a gallon of distilled water waiting. They also had an "oxygen in use" sign on our cabin door, haha. Guess they weren't exactly familiar with the CPAP.

Completed the special needs form and submitted it yesterday.

Today, I received an email from Special Needs-Access Advocate at RCI, stating:

"Thank you for contacting us with this information.

One (1) gallon of distilled water and an extension cord will be provided for your use.

It will be placed in the stateroom upon your embarkation."

Really quick and efficient response from RCI.:)
