MCManders99 Posted March 2, 2017 #1 Share Posted March 2, 2017 Hi all! We are staying at Hyatt 17th street in April and wondering best way to cruise port for Allure of the Seas. Hotel charges $7 pp and there is 4 of us (2a/2c). Would a taxi be more cost effective. Will not use Uber ( DH refuses) so looking at professional company, DH is a limo driver here so it would be taxi, car service or hotel shuttle unless there is some other option. I just don't want to spend $50 for all 4 of us but will if we have to. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
Flymia Posted March 2, 2017 #2 Share Posted March 2, 2017 Take a taxi, $7.00 pp is a rip off. No way should a cab cost more than $15.00 with tip, its such a short drive. If you don't want to spend more than that, have a decent car, and not get ripped off, as much as DH might not like it, Uber is still the way to go. But a taxi should be fine. Absolutely no need for a private car or anything like that.

eandj Posted March 2, 2017 #4 Share Posted March 2, 2017 There's usually cabs going back and forth from the nearby hotels for pre and post cruisers. If you don't see the larger size cab after a little wait, have the hotel concierge call for one. Same price as a normal sedan. $15 sounds right. paulh84 Posted March 2, 2017 #5 Share Posted March 2, 2017 Just take a taxi. Like mentioned early, if you need a minivan the hotel will call for you. Allow a few extra minutes in that case. You will be literally right at the port. I doubt a car service would take the reservation since the trip is so short.
teknoge3k Posted March 3, 2017 #6 Share Posted March 3, 2017 Just out of curiosity, why won't he take an Uber? It's definitely the best way to go. Cleaner, cheaper, local, and maybe quicker.
