tiger4848 Posted March 9, 2017 #1 Share Posted March 9, 2017 we will be on the cruising on the Riviera in June. Looking for a tour at the Anitbes port. private or with a group, something that would give a good overview of the area.
StanandJim Posted March 9, 2017 #2 Share Posted March 9, 2017 (edited) Congratulations on your first Post, and WELCOME TO CRUISE CRITIC ! Planning a trip can be a fascinating adventure for the participants, but doing so also involves details and logistics which are often of little or no interest to the common reader. To that end, the Moderators of Cruise Critic have established an area of the Site, the 'Roll Calls" if you will, wherein passengers who are already booked on a particular voyage are encouraged to do their networking, thus leaving this main forum free for general discussion. The Roll Calls are segregated, first by Cruise Line, then by Ship, and finally by the sailing date. To find the Roll Call for an Oceania cruise, first go to the Oceania Roll Call Section: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?f=420 Choose your vessel, and then search for your embarkation date by scrolling down. There, you will be dealing only with those Passengers who are literally “in the same boat”, so you will have a much better chance of connecting with someone... Enjoy your cruise, and every minute of the planning- Edited March 9, 2017 by StanandJim
Whiteowl Posted March 9, 2017 #3 Share Posted March 9, 2017 Monaco is a very easy day out from Antibes. The railway station is about 10 min walk then about 40 mins on train to Monaco. I believe the cost is around Euro 8-10.

sammiedawg Posted March 9, 2017 #5 Share Posted March 9, 2017 I researched Antibes a couple years ago and did not find a private tour guide concentrating on Antibes. We had mapped out an independent cliff side walking tour but mid cruise our captain changed the port to Monaco due to currents.
AllanWW Posted March 10, 2017 #6 Share Posted March 10, 2017 If your ship is stopping in Antibes I don't think you need a tour guide. The old town is very interesting and easily walkable. There is a market most mornings as well as a number of good museums. A walk to the port area is worthwhile, particularly the inner port where the larger private ships berth. Hiring a car is another option to get you to some of the hill towns such as Grasse (perfume) or Saint Paul de Vence. The roads are easy to drive and a good GPS will get you there.
