Life is Good Cruising Posted March 15, 2017 #3 Share Posted March 15, 2017 CR has made dinners and spa treatments really tough to get complementary now from the Casino Host unless you're a big enough gambler.
cherylroslyn Posted March 16, 2017 #4 Share Posted March 16, 2017 I'm on a cruise right now and just trying to find out if anyone had recently got any comps besides beverages, such as dinners or spa treatments. Thanks I just returned from the Navigator. I qualified for the free cruise "certificate' by day two and the balcony one by day 4 or 5. And nothing....just a plate of whole fruit...not even cut up on day 8. I promptly took the plate of bruised 8 day old fruit to guest services and told them they could keep it. The next day there was a bottle of champagne.....I told them it was totally unnecessary as I had a drink package, but it was a nice gesture.....just too little too late. Sass4 Posted March 17, 2017 #5 Share Posted March 17, 2017 You got 2400 points by Day Two? WOW!!
micruiser2002 Posted March 17, 2017 Author #6 Share Posted March 17, 2017 I was on Independence for 5 nights and had over 6000 points by the time I was finished. Since I already had the beverage package I asked if they could do anything else and they said no. In the past I have had them cover spa treatments. I did get the free balcony cabin certificate so at least I can plan another cruise.
sellwingri Posted March 19, 2017 #7 Share Posted March 19, 2017 I left Serende OTS on Friday and amassed 7600 points. In addition to the free balcony cruise certificate, bottle of wine, and $150 off my bill, I was told I'd get extra "perks" on my next cruise. We'll see in 2 months. If you don't mind me asking, how much did you spend to accumulate 7600 points? Thanks
sellwingri Posted March 20, 2017 #9 Share Posted March 20, 2017 Were you playing slots or tables? If you don't mind me asking, how much did you spend to accumulate 7600 points? Thanks I played nothing but 3-card poker; $20 or $25 a hand. I lost A LOT (probably close to $3000) but was told by our Casino Manager that your points were based on time spent gambling, not the amount you win or lose. I spent from 4 to 7 hours a day at the table.

kz920 Posted March 30, 2017 #11 Share Posted March 30, 2017 If you are a Mlife member gold or above you automatically get a free specialty dinner for two and drink vouchers as well as some other perks. You must speak with the casino host soon after boarding.

pepster1 Posted April 19, 2017 #13 Share Posted April 19, 2017 If you haven't earned your Mlife status while gambling in an MGM property, then RCL owes you nothing. Read the fine print. Sent from my iPad using Forums
pgaedke Posted July 9, 2017 #14 Share Posted July 9, 2017 We were on a cruise out of Southampton a year ago. We gamble every night and the casino was pretty slow. We were given two specialty restaurant dinners, a bottle of wine, my wife and daughter got mani pedis, some champagne, and a cruise certificate. It was pretty nice. Gotta talk to the host and hope it's a slow gambling cruise. RC ship btw.
Redbeard the Pirate Posted July 20, 2017 #15 Share Posted July 20, 2017 these losers [rcl] have changed the points and comps to almost nothing in 18 months between my sailings. drinks was it. i played longer than b4 and got a cert. for $200 off instead of the 2 free cruises and dinner for 5 at giovannis last cruise. typical rcl, oh we are giving away to much. lets change it and they are so dumb, it will take years to figure it out. try ncl
