Stinger-pr Posted March 17, 2017 #6 Share Posted March 17, 2017 I have been a loyal Carnival cruiser here in PR since my first three cruises have been with them, with a fourth already booked from San Juan, mainly due to the fact that in PR, cruising with Carnival is the cheapest option and I like the festive atmosphere of Carnival. But it kindda makes you think about Canival's commitment to our market since, not only all the other lines that home port (seasonal or long term) have bigger ships than Carnival, some (like RCCL) are actually going with even bigger instead of smaller. For example, Carnival's downsize from Conquest-class ships (Valor/Liberty) to Fantasy- class (Fascination) vs. RCCL going from a Voyager-class (Adventure OTS) up to a Freedom-class (Freedom OTS). Make no mistake, I sailed the Fascination and liked how it fit the itinerary quite well. But would love a newer, bigger Carnival ship to sail on from San Juan. Ms411 Posted March 17, 2017 #7 Share Posted March 17, 2017 Thanks! I thought Freedom was going to be an additional, not replacement, ship. Would love to see more during summer.
Getting out there Posted March 17, 2017 #8 Share Posted March 17, 2017 I want to go on Adventure of the Seas, but cost to Puerto Rico is high. Where is it going to be after April 2018?
Aviator of the Seas Posted March 20, 2017 Author #9 Share Posted March 20, 2017 I want to go on Adventure of the Seas, but cost to Puerto Rico is high. Where is it going to be after April 2018? I believe to the NY/NJ market (Bayonne?). It will be doing Canada/New England cruises, and then Caribbean during the winter.
