Rare pinotlover Posted April 11, 2018 #26 Share Posted April 11, 2018 I have both checked it with the porters and carried it aboard. 1. We rarely show up at the ship for lunch or before our cabin would be ready to be occupied. Therefore, we would probably choose to carry the case of wine aboard with us. After being XRay upon boarding, we would then carry it directly to our cabin for storage there. 2. In the few times we board at the regular prescribed times. We give it to the porters with the rest of our luggage, just marking it as fragile. No way in hell would we want to drag a full case of wine around with us on the ship through the restaurant and other venues. It would be a pain not only for ourselves but likewise for other cruisers. Rare TLCOhio Posted April 14, 2018 #27 Share Posted April 14, 2018 Appreciate reading these varied postings. Am getting ready for our first Oceania sailing. In mid November, 2018, just seven months away, we are doing an Athens to Dubai, 20-day cruise with Oceania on the Nautica. This will include our first visits to the Holy Lands, Egypt, Middle East, etc. Like getting these insights and tips for a first-timer with this cruise line. THANKS! Enjoy! Terry in Ohio Enjoyed a 14-day, Jan. 20-Feb. 3, 2014, Sydney to Auckland adventure, getting a big sampling for the wonders of "down under” before and after this cruise.
