Ship time in eastern caribbean?

Recommended Posts

We are on Allure during spring break. Every time we've been on a cruise, there have been days when we're on "ship time" and the island has an hour time difference.

For the purposes of booking a private tour, if RCCL says our ship will be in port at St. Thomas from 10am to 7pm, and our tour is 11am to 5pm, how do i know which time everyone is on??

Thanks in advance- can't find the answer anywhere!

Last time I went Eastern on Royal, there we did not change times, as the ship time and Island time were always the same. It also depends on Daylight Savings, as your departure port and therefore ship time, honors the practice, but many islands do not. This could impact your local vs. ship time.
