Booking online vs. over phone

I am such a millennial when it comes to booking things online, rather than with an actual person or with someone on the phone ;p. I also want to get the best deal possible for my money. I booked our last cruise and our upcoming cruise through the NCL website. Is it better to book over the phone with someone from NCL rather than booking through their website? Can they give you more perks or get a better price if you call?

No benefit at all, as far as I am aware, other than the possibility that they may know of a discount that you may miss online.

I only phone because we use cruisenext vouchers and, last time I looked, they couldn't be used online (in the UK anyway). Otherwise I would always do it online.

You can also email your PCC to book. That may give you the best of both worlds. Though don't give a credit card number over email. I had a CrusieNext certificate last time so it was easy to book over email and I was able to get details "in writing" before I booked.

I find it depends.

On our Alaskan cruise, arranged in person, when we first booked,my wife "negotiated"extra perks from the TA.

But then in last few years, our TA has started a "club"on their site for Ncl and one or 2 other lines.

On my gem Cruise in Dec 2014,I saved 800 over the same category on ncl or other sites.

For my upcoming Cruise later this year saving 400

But it must be booked online to use this club
