Getting a Taxi in Maul at 2:30 for bike ride excursion

We are heading to Hawaii in early June for a cruise on POA (Pride of America) and have scheduled the sunrise bike ride down Haleakala. I'm told by the Haleakala bike company (our tour provider) that we need to secure a taxi via the POA concierge once we board. Given that I'm a planner, I'd much rather have booked a cab/uber in advance then take a chance of not getting a ride this early in the morning. Anyone have any advice on how to get this reservation set up in advance? Much thanks.

Check on UBER there are some places where you can make advanced reservations. I've done it to the airport so maybe they will have that option for pier pickup

Uber might be your best best. Or you can Google several of the local taxi services and see if they will take a reservation.

We found the following on the bike company's website. If they will pick up from the ship, perhaps this might be an easier alternative than cab/uber. Might be worth the money. Their statement:

 

Transportation from your hotel to our shop for our Sunrise Special bike ride can be provided for and extra $25 a person. We will pick you up at your hotel approximately 2 hours before our scheduled departure time. You then you’ll be treated to an island tour as we shuttle you and other passengers from West, South or Central Maui to our location in beautiful Haiku, located on the north shore of the island. If requesting the hotel pickup option, you MUST call us to make your reservation and confirm availability of the pickup at your location. To make a reservation with pickup for a desired activity date please (808) 575-9575. Mahalo!
