Labadee Tram or Water Taxi to Columbus Cove

I am considering reserving a Beach Bungalow in Columbus Cove for our family cruise stop in Labadee this July. My mother-in-law has a hard time walking any distance. Does the tram go all the way to Columbus Cove? Also, I read on one thread that there is/was a water taxi to Columbus Cove. Any input would be helpful. Thanks!

When we were in Labadee last month, the boat to Columbus Cove wasn't operating (can't remember why) so we had to take the tram to the beach. For the people who had the bungalows, they were driven in golf carts right up to the beach.

While the water taxi does go to Columbus Cove (when it's operational !) it does not go in the opposite direction. You must go back to the ship through security so you will have to catch a tram or golf cart from CC back to the security gate and walk that long pier back to the ship.

Tram. The 2 wagon go directly to Colombus cove. The 1 wagon stop to the market and you have to walk a short distance.

FYI 3/4 mile from Columbus Cove to the pier. 1/2 mile from Barefoot beach.
