OCruisers Posted March 31, 2017 #4 Share Posted March 31, 2017 It's at extra cost but Giovanni's is open for lunch on embarkation day and is a wonderful way to avoid the crowds. ;)

I appreciate the kind words, but thanks to TonyL128 for scanning and posting - that's where the hard work and time is spent.
kevinyork Posted March 31, 2017 #6 Share Posted March 31, 2017 It's at extra cost but Giovanni's is open for lunch on embarkation day and is a wonderful way to avoid the crowds. ;) Or sit just outside Giovannis with a salad and Kummelweck Sandwich for a freebie option as well. Our experience was we were onboard about 15 minutes after boarding and went to Windjammer. As we exited they were queuing to get in and that was about 1 hour after boarding started. Last time we will be heading straight there on boarding.
Kilmarlic Posted March 31, 2017 #7 Share Posted March 31, 2017 We went to the Solarium for lunch. It was awesome. Don't forget to bring your bathing suits so you can hop in the hot tub after you eat.

legaljen1969 Posted March 31, 2017 #11 Share Posted March 31, 2017 Can kids eat at the solarium? I think they are allowed on the first day for getting lunch as you board. I know they were allowed on Allure when we boarded on Easter Sunday last year. They gave my nieces candy and Easter eggs. My nieces were 11 and 5 at the time. They had mainly just come to find us and give us something since we were sitting in there, and had planned to leave but the workers said they could stay and have lunch. I don't think they ever tried going back to the Solarium after that, nor were they interested in going back. We were quite early boarding that day though, so we pretty much had our choice of anywhere.

tgloersen Posted April 7, 2017 #13 Share Posted April 7, 2017 When i went on Oasis last October, we went to the solarium immediately, The food while limited is of very good quality (much better than WJ) and there were open seat all over the place. Really nice place to crack open that first beer and have a nice meal. Would do it again in a heartbeet!
