Port to Schipol Transportation??

Do any of you have experience with arranging some type of transportation from the Amsterdam port to the airport? We are past the age of taking our luggage onto trains. Just wondering if it is better to pre-arrange something or simply share a taxi. This would be on a Sunday morning in July, so we do not know how many taxis may be available, what the cost would be, nor how long the trip might take. Our flight is at 1:20, so we think we should be at the airport by 10:30 at the latest. Any information/advice is welcome. Thank you.

There wilkl be cabs athe port, but depending if any other ships are in port there might be a libne.

Costs will be around E. 50,- depending traffic.

Taxis will be the easiest way to get to Schiphol. Allow for plenty of time there. We waited in line after our cruise for about an hour just to get our bags tagged. What a mess! We paid 50E plus tip. Usually when there's a ship arriving, there will be taxis but if not, have your cruise director (if a small river ship) call for a taxi for you and give them your name and the instructions to ask for you specifically.

What airline were you using? were they all backed up or just your airline? Good idea about the taxi asking specifically for you!

 

We will be in Amsterdam in a couple of weeks so I appreciate the advice! thanks!!
