KruiseKontrol Posted April 6, 2017 #1 Share Posted April 6, 2017 We are sailing on the Pride of America on April 29. Can we expect to see any whales at that time of year?

trish1c Posted April 6, 2017 #3 Share Posted April 6, 2017 We saw a whale on a pre-cruise excursion off the north shore of Oahu 2 weeks ago; friends saw a family of whales during a pre-cruise excursion that same week in Maui. We saw a whale off the Na'pauli (?) coast off Kauai last Friday.
CruiserBruce Posted April 6, 2017 #4 Share Posted April 6, 2017 Saw a recent Facebook post by our favorite whale watch vendor on Maui. For the first time, they are extending their whale watches to April 15. We had sailed a whale watch with them on March 30 a couple of years ago...saw 4 or 5 whales in a 2 hour trip. In summary, it is possible you will see whales, but I doubt I would spend any money on a whale watching trip that late. By the way, this, and many other topics of info are commonly discussed on the Hawaii board, here: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?f=
