beloum Posted April 6, 2017 #1 Share Posted April 6, 2017 I noticed on my invoice from, my TA, I have a $50 dining credit. How does this work? Is it like OBC but can only be used for speciality restaurants? I have never seen this before. Thanks. Rare cruisestitch Posted April 6, 2017 #2 Share Posted April 6, 2017 Generally this is just an OBC that can be used for anything on board -- if you want to use it in a specialty restaurant, that's ok but you are not limited to using it there. This is correct! I am not sure how far $50 will get you on Celebrity unless it is $50 pp. But, you can use it for most anything. I also will probably be refundable so you most likely won't have to use it for anything onboard.
Mr. Click Posted April 7, 2017 #4 Share Posted April 7, 2017 If you want to use it for specialty dining make sure you shop for the sales. We got 30% off on our Alaska cruise last July and BOGO on our Asia cruise last month. With a BOGO that $50 can cover dinner for two in the Tuscan Grill. Our waiter in the MDR was pushing the 30% off and we just asked for a better deal and got it..
beloum Posted April 7, 2017 Author #5 Share Posted April 7, 2017 Thanks for the info. We are also getting $300 in OBC, just wasn't sure why they separated out an additional $50 to a dining credit. MEcruzr Posted April 7, 2017 #6 Share Posted April 7, 2017 We had that in January. It was a thank you gift from our travel agent.
