cwms Posted April 8, 2017 #1 Share Posted April 8, 2017 (edited) We were planning on going to New England/Canada on Grandeur in late July, but I see where it is already sold out. Honestly, I'm shocked that this cruise is sold out 3-1/2 months away. Must be a very popular cruise, but the one in late June is still open. Works for me, but the wife doesn't want to be at sea over the 4th as we spend the holiday with our entire family. Any thoughts as to why this cruise is so popular to be sold out this far in advance? Clarea Posted April 8, 2017 #2 Share Posted April 8, 2017 Middle of summer, peak season for cruising. Haven't been following it, check the Roll Call, see if it's been chartered.
Janet524 Posted April 8, 2017 #3 Share Posted April 8, 2017 Grandeur is a smaller ship for one thing and 3-1/2 months out is not that far out. New England/ Canada is a very popular itinerary. Hape Posted April 16, 2017 #4 Share Posted April 16, 2017 We booked this a week ago - daughter got outside cabin and we got a guaranteed inside - other than that nothing was available.
cwms Posted April 16, 2017 Author #5 Share Posted April 16, 2017 According to the travel agent we have been in touch with, suites are now available and I did get an email from the agent and he tells me that a few inside staterooms are now available even though the web site doesn't show the inside rooms. TeeRick Posted April 17, 2017 #6 Share Posted April 17, 2017 It is close to final payment date so some cabins might open up after that.
Merion_Mom Posted April 17, 2017 #7 Share Posted April 17, 2017 It is close to final payment date so some cabins might open up after that. Final payment for a cruise in September is in June. It's only mid-April.

KeywestK Posted April 17, 2017 #9 Share Posted April 17, 2017 Since this is a seasonal itinerary, it's very popular. When we did that itinerary, we booked it a year in advance to ensure our preferred cabin.

bmac1 Posted April 17, 2017 #11 Share Posted April 17, 2017 Just about every cruise on the Grandeur sells out. I am booked on the May 13th to Bermuda and it has been sold out for months. The New England cruises are very big with the senior citizen crowd for some reason.
