ExilePA Posted April 11, 2017 #1 Share Posted April 11, 2017 Does anyone know if there will be other private tour operators outside of the cruise line's that will offer the stingray excursions? Looking for a more private experience than the masses of people. Thanks!
crossfitmama Posted April 11, 2017 #2 Share Posted April 11, 2017 have you checked with https://grandcaymancruiseexcursions.com ? They have many options from catamarans, private boats and wave runner tours to stingray city. We have used them for the wave runner tour and also for the Outrage private tour over the past couple years. Highly recommend both of them
mrsfuzzmo Posted April 12, 2017 #3 Share Posted April 12, 2017 Yes, not only are there a ton of different options online before you go, there will also be guides offering tours right at the dock.

HimAndMeGoCruising Posted April 12, 2017 #5 Share Posted April 12, 2017 Captain Marvin. Google him. Top notch. Sent from my iPad using Forums Agree. We just did Capt Marvin's stingray and snorkeling and it was excellent. Note - we went to stingray city first and they did a photo session with every guest holding the stingrays. Their photos were excellent, so be ready to smile and don't get wet until after you have your pictures taken.
jmlh Posted April 15, 2017 #6 Share Posted April 15, 2017 Another vote for Captain Marvin's. We will likely book this excursion again for next January. Very enjoyable!!

Mzsnap Posted May 3, 2017 #9 Share Posted May 3, 2017 We are booked with Acquarius for our cruise in September...I've heard lots of good things about them on Cruise Critic and they are ranked #1 out of all of the Stingray City tours in Grand Cayman on Trip Advisor! sandc4e Posted May 4, 2017 #11 Share Posted May 4, 2017 We did Jet skis to Stingray city, best excursion ever. And they will be right at the port too.
OC SeaPA Posted May 26, 2017 #12 Share Posted May 26, 2017 Booked through Native Way Watersports- best ever! Limit to 25 per boat- we got to the sandbar early, and as we were leaving the cruise ship tours unloaded tons of people! Best price- included a fabulous lunch on rum point beach, starfish, snorkel- 5+ hours! They were very accommodating, as we got in early and left early some were worried about time, but they got us back right on schedule! Even non-water people like my husband had a great time and felt comfortable. PS- even included drinks, lunch, snorkel, starfish and feeding stingray for under $60pp. Definitely less than the cruise ship!
JohninDC Posted May 26, 2017 #13 Share Posted May 26, 2017 Used Moby Dick twice for stingray city/snorkel tours - great! Smaller boat, great service, kid sized snorkel gear if needed, and no pressure to buy photos, etc.

TravelingG Posted June 7, 2017 #15 Share Posted June 7, 2017 http://stingraysailing.com/ They re family owned and run. I've used them many times and the few times that weather didn't allow the excursion, we were promptly refunded our deposit (only dEposit is required in advance, full payment isn't collected until end of excursion) plus the owner met us at the port and connected us with another local vendor for a tour of Georgetown, Hell and the Turtle Farm for only $20 per person.
