Sequim88 Posted April 12, 2017 #5 Share Posted April 12, 2017 How much do they change the menus for Alaska cruises? Some of the literature says food on these sources items from the Pacific NW. So wondering if there is more of a Pacific theme than say, Caribbean.
creel5857 Posted April 12, 2017 Author #6 Share Posted April 12, 2017 thanks so much........I just wanted to compare to some from past few years to see if things still looked about the same......I see occasionally how cruise lines are cutting back and just wondered about menus
Rare Crew News Posted April 12, 2017 #7 Share Posted April 12, 2017 How much do they change the menus for Alaska cruises? Some of the literature says food on these sources items from the Pacific NW. So wondering if there is more of a Pacific theme than say, Caribbean. After reviewing my menu collection, the Alaska menus are not a Pacific theme but truly Alaskan. Alaskan salmon is on almost every menu with seafood chowders, and more rustic entrees. The Late Snack menus include Indonesian, Vietnamese, Indian, etc.
Alaska59 Posted April 14, 2017 #8 Share Posted April 14, 2017 I wondered the same thing about the Canadian/New England ports menus. I know they have mussels available but do menus generally change to include the local fish?
Sequim88 Posted April 14, 2017 #9 Share Posted April 14, 2017 Thanks Crew News. Salmon I get enough of (couple times a week) so not a big attraction but other Alaska items like crab, chowders, halibut, etc.... would be good.
