Devon Bloke Posted April 12, 2017 #1 Share Posted April 12, 2017 Does anyone know the latest cost for sending a shirt to the laundry on the QM2? I know all about the free self-service laundrettes on board, but couldn't find a current price list for having items actually sent for laundering. Hope someone can help. Underwatr Posted April 12, 2017 #2 Share Posted April 12, 2017 This isn't the latest but it's a start. Here's a photo of a QV laundry slip from someone's blog in 2014. It should be in the ballpark. My recollection is that they no longer do "dry cleaning" per se but use a process somewhat similar (but Armani tuxedos don't seem to fare well in the new process). Devon Bloke Posted April 13, 2017 Author #3 Share Posted April 13, 2017 That's grand, thanks. As you say, it gives me a "ball park" figure. Cheers
Lanky Lad Posted April 14, 2017 #4 Share Posted April 14, 2017 Are they doing dry cleaning again or the so called specialist cleaning?
Underwatr Posted April 14, 2017 #5 Share Posted April 14, 2017 In December it was "specialist cleaning" or whatever the term is for the new process. I mentioned above that the image I linked was from someone's blog post in 2014.
sppunk Posted April 14, 2017 #6 Share Posted April 14, 2017 Do they not offer any type of "all you can fit into a bag for $xx" deal?
Thaxted Posted April 14, 2017 #7 Share Posted April 14, 2017 Do they not offer any type of "all you can fit into a bag for $xx" deal? They used to, but they didn't on our crossings last summer. I don't know if this was an anomaly or if the deals are no more. Sent from my iPod touch using Forums mobile app
abefroman329 Posted June 9, 2017 #8 Share Posted June 9, 2017 How long does it take to have items cleaned, laundered, and/or pressed? The line for 50% Surcharge leads me to think there's a standard turnaround time and a "rush" turnaround time.

The line for 50% Surcharge leads me to think there's a standard turnaround time and a "rush" turnaround time. There is indeed such a thing. I can't recall exactly, but standard is maybe two days, but the "rushed" one might be same day. Something like that anyway.

MarkBearSF Posted June 9, 2017 #11 Share Posted June 9, 2017 All of the above is true. (No special per bag deal was offered last month and surcharge is for 1 day turnaround.) Also worthy of note, discounts for Platinum and Diamond members are only applied if you are actually paying for the service. If you've still got a cabin credit to apply, there is no discount.
