Is it possible to walk to Port Everglades (Carnival Splendor) checkin area?

We cruised on Princess a couple of years ago and we were able to walk to the check in area. I am just wondering if Carnival is in the same general area? If the weather is nice we don't mind the walk. Staying at the same hotel Hyatt Regency Pier 66 just over the bridge.

I would take a taxi . Carnival usually dock at Terminal 19. I would not try walking.
