Cabin Release Timeframe

Can someone tell me the time frame that TA's have to usually release cabin categories their holding for a specific cruise date...is it at final payment date ?

As a general rule on cruises of 5 nights or more, the final option date is 120 days before the cruise. At that time, all unsold cabins will be returned. Royal does however have the right to review and take back any cabins at any time prior to that if they so desire.

A couple of years ago a TA mentioned 60 days out and many price drops seem to occur around that time. But, as mentioned above, inventory is probably a fairly fluid thing and RCI's rules and return of cabins can and probably does happen all the time.
