TFLG Posted February 20, 2018 #26 Share Posted February 20, 2018 I just posted about clarification about paying the difference or paying the full amount when you go over the $9 limit on the classic package. I am seeing her you just pay the difference. However, I just hung up with the Celebrity representative that told me we would have to pay full price for anything over the $9. You pay the difference. Been that way for nearly 2 years now. Customer service reps at celebrity are wrong quite often. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
Ozzmund Posted February 21, 2018 #27 Share Posted February 21, 2018 Hendricks Gin Martini, Bailey's and a better selection of wines and beers makes the Premium Package our choice.

Ilandguy Posted February 21, 2018 #29 Share Posted February 21, 2018 http://media.celebritycruises.com/ce...-Bev-Pckgs.pdf This seems to be a current explanation of the Beverage Packages linked from Celebrity's "Finest" website ....Some of the many posts on this forum may be from older dated info so be weary of the date of the info? Some differences seem to be from ship to ship QUOTE
jersey_boy Posted February 21, 2018 #30 Share Posted February 21, 2018 I'm confused reading these comments. Looking at the copy of the drink packages I see that Beefeater is in the Classic category which I chose for my next cruise. So, if I order a Beefeater Martini at the Martini bar must I pay the Premium upcharge or not?

So, if I order a Beefeater Martini at the Martini bar must I pay the Premium upcharge or not? See the link in the post immediately above yours. Direct from Celebrity, they say "Care for a beverage not included in your package? Classic & Premium Package holders are welcome to enjoy any single-servingbeverage not included in their package by paying the price difference" This is a change from what it used to be (unsure when it happened). Previously, it was Classic pays full price for overage. Premium pays difference for overage.
jersey_boy Posted February 21, 2018 #32 Share Posted February 21, 2018 Thanks Dave. Beefeaters is included in the Classic package so if I understand what you are saying there is no upcharge for ordering a Beefeater Martini at the Martini bar. Correct? You can't get any Martinis at the Martini Bar on the classic package (without and upcharge). The Martini Bar uses larger glasses so the drinks cost more there ($12 to $14). You should be able to get your beefeater martini at the other bars where they use smaller glasses (the Casino Bar would be the closest to the Martini Bar). I have read where some people have said they were able to get a regular sized one at the Martini Bar. I have never been able to so I wouldn't count on it happening but it doesn't hurt to ask. I believe the change to the upcharge thing happened in April 2016.
