Biker19 Posted April 28, 2017 #26 Share Posted April 28, 2017 Last time I did it, I did sit at the airport with my tablet, working on organizing my photos. Read a book. Caught up on the worldly goings on that I missed while cruising. Nothing wrong with sitting at the airport. Yeah, but you could do the same thing sitting on the side of the intercoastal with a much better view. ;)
Thetrail Posted April 28, 2017 #27 Share Posted April 28, 2017 They want you out of your cabin by 8am...and off the ship by 10am. Hanging for 2 hours in public areas with your bags sucks. The last morning is anything but fun. Any and all service you've come to expect all week is conspicuously missing on that last morning. They want you gone.JUst curious...what "service" are you referring to the morning of debarkation???....K.O.

jpolm Posted April 28, 2017 #29 Share Posted April 28, 2017 Don't plan on spending money on a car rental. Most likely we will slowly head to airport as we will have our luggage. Is there anything near airport worth seeing. ? We could always check our bags and go somewhere nearby until time to head through security? Biker19 Posted April 28, 2017 #30 Share Posted April 28, 2017 We could always check our bags and go somewhere nearby until time to head through security? Sometimes you can't check bags more than about 3-4 hours out. Not much around the airport.
cleophus12 Posted April 28, 2017 #31 Share Posted April 28, 2017 As far as the "service" disappearing, they don't make hanging around comfortable. They leave you hardly any place to sit. Pool chairs are stacked up and there is nowhere to go. They will still serve you breakfast, but they want you out of their way. They aren't usually rude about it or anything, but they have a job to do. Last morning is all business.
TonyL128 Posted April 28, 2017 #32 Share Posted April 28, 2017 I was told by some crew that on disembarkation/embarkation day, they have to work 10-12 hours. So, have empathy for the crew. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
