goblue Posted May 1, 2017 #1 Share Posted May 1, 2017 I was google tonight and came across this service. We have a party of 6 and will be taking Star Princess (from Whittier) in July. I have priced some transfer options (including Princess transfer) and none of them is cheap after times 6. Kids want to get to ship between 12:30 and 1 pm and most those tour/transfers wont get to Whittier till 4 or 5 PM. Also, does anyone know when Princess transfer starts assuming they have from both airport and Eagan center?? Any info is appreciated.
Ashland Posted May 1, 2017 #2 Share Posted May 1, 2017 I would suggest using ACT...We have used them for Seward-ANC. http://www.alaskacruisetransfer.com They are priced at $35.00 pp and offer a 10% discount for a party of six or more. However they don't arrive into Whittier until 4:30pm.
I_Luv_To_Travel Posted May 1, 2017 #3 Share Posted May 1, 2017 I am taking the Princess transfer from the Convention Center in a couple of weeks . My documentation says that the transfers begin at 12 noon.
Budget Queen Posted May 1, 2017 #4 Share Posted May 1, 2017 Princess just loads and leaves all day. No set times. In my opinion, I am never in any rush to get on a ship in Alaska. There is so much else to see and do. Ask yourself, how often you are going to be touring there and you may want to take advantage. Especially excellent out of Whittle are the Prince William Sound glacier tours. FAR superior to anything you see from the cruise ship.. Although costly- a car rental can really be an excellent option with multiple stops, Portage Glacier, Alaska Wildlife Conservatory, Girdwood Tram, Winner Trail, multiple stops along the Arm. side trip to Hope. Can ALL be done prior to a Whittier boarding. I find the "worth" of the inclusions", far superior to just running to the ship. :)
