Sloths at Gumbalimba Animal Preserve

I read that there is a place to see sloths in the Roatan. Going there in 10 days!!! Sloths are my favorite animal. We are booked on the Gumbalimba excursion. Are there sloths there or do we need to go some place different?

The only sloths I know about are at Daniel Johnson's Sloth and Monkey preserve.

Look up Daniel Johnson on Facebook. And see if you can get a tour.

 

Also check out www.bluecoolrunningtours.com . They mostly offer fishing excursions but do have 4 and 6 hour land tours that stop at Daniels and other places.

I don't know about Gumbalimba but I can assure you that holding a sweet, slow, lazy sloth was one of the highlights of our entire cruise. Daniel Johnson's was the place we went and I do not know of any other place where sloths hang out. (they literally "hang out" - they are not in an enclosure, live in the trees and seem to enjoy doing very little). :)

Are you back., if so did you have time to hang out at the beach? We aren't scheduled to leave for the park until 11:30 and we leave Roatan at 5. Also did you enjoy the park?

Victor Bodden has them (5 of 'em you can hold), too. Only $5 extra if you're on one of his private tours and I think included free on his zipline/beach tour. They were AMAZING!
