Recently on Liberty of the Seas?? Question about time (clock) on Roatan

Recommended Posts

We will be on the May 14 sailing (Roatan, Costa Maya and Cozumel) of Liberty of the Seas. Can someone who has been to Roatan in the last week or two tell me if the ship time and island time will be the same or different? Trying to arrange a meeting with a friend who lives there. Thanks!

Whether time is changed or not is up to each Captain. We've been places where on this trip, they switched to local time, and on that trip, where they stayed on ship's time. You will have that info in your daily Compass which you get the night prior...so you could shoot off a text to your friend and let them know then!

I was on the April 16th sailing and Roatan was one hour behind ship time.

I just got off of the April 30th sailing and the same was true of our sailing. Routan was an hour behind ship time.

We were on the Liberty a month ago and went to Roatan. They made a point that were would

remain on ship time. We never changed our clocks anytime on the cruise. Work of caution: your

cell phone time may change to fit the time zone so be careful.
