I am booked on the Norwegian Epic leaving Barcelona on June 25th. The excursions from the ship are expensive. Does anyone have suggestions on booking excursions other than from the cruise line.

Go to the PORTS OF CALL board here on C.C. for EUROPE there is a whole section for all the ports you will be visiting. Go to your ROLL CALL there might be others on your cruise who have booked independent tours and will share costs to come off a LOT cheaper than what you could book through the cruise line.

Go to the library and look for a MEDITERRANEAN PORTS travel guide, you will see what you can do on your own using public transportation.

Yes go to your roll call date for your ship but also check the June 28th roll call too. I am on the 28th and there are ideas on there about ports, etc.

As suggested above, join the roll call. There's a few small group excursions being promoted looking for people to join. I'm on the same cruise, still debating excursions myself. :)

I disembarked from the Epic today after a 7 day cruise. I will put up what we did as soon as I get everything back to reality here at home :)
