cocoa beach

the gem will stop in port canaveral june 19 0r 20. is it far to go to cocoa beach.. is it a nice beach for swiming not to rough for my young son...are there restaurants there? thank you..

You'll have to take a bus or cab which is right outside terminal. It's not the nicest beach in Florida, but it's a ok. The highlight of the area seems to be the Ron Jon surf shop, there's a bar in the same building with a tank of little sharks. At certain points during the day, a guy goes in and feeds them. And drinks were bogo when I was there watching

It was quite rough when we went there-BUT it was a VERY windy day-so I don't know if it was just due to the weather.:confused:

Do you remember how much the taxi was? Also, is Cocoa Village worth the trip?

The bar and shark tank are not at Ron Jon's they are across the street at the Cocoa Beach surf Co.

My experience at Cocoa Beach was not that great. Area seemed a little trashy to me.
