cabin 9704 on Liberty of the seas

I have read several reviews on this cabin and the only really bad thing I have seen is problems with soot. Some say no problem, others posted showing that it can be a BIG problem. Any inputs would be appreciated.

If there IS soot...take a towel and wipe it off! I really think how much of an issue it might be will depend on the wind.

we had this cabin for our cruise 4/9-16. Never had a problem w/ soot. It IS a heavy door (not the usual balcony sliding door) and a weird shaped balcony, and there is a support beam to deal with too. we had no problems except the surface of the balcony got HOT in the afternoon, so no bare feet.
