gatlinburg Posted January 9, 2018 #176 Share Posted January 9, 2018 Has anyone recently taken advantage of one of the Laundry packages? Have been thinking about this since they are pretty affordable. Do they launder all clothes items? Feel odd about having someone clean our panties. LOL there are no laundry or ironing facilities for passengers to use other than the ship's laundry. they do have laundry packages available at a reasonable cost Pete
helenb Posted January 9, 2018 #177 Share Posted January 9, 2018 It seems like one of those packages won't go very far. 20 items is only a few days' worth of socks and underwear...
gatlinburg Posted January 9, 2018 #178 Share Posted January 9, 2018 so true. Was looking at the 40 items, and only worrying about pants and shirts really. :-) Just wanted feedback from anyone who had paid for this service. It seems like one of those packages won't go very far. 20 items is only a few days' worth of socks and underwear...
goodluckman66 Posted January 10, 2018 #179 Share Posted January 10, 2018 I have another one: how much will the entrance fee be for the Cirque shows for those not interested in buying the inclusive cocktails or dinner packages? Sent from my SM-G935F using Forums mobile app The cost of the show is $16 per person but you must buy dinner or drinks as I understand it
alic74 Posted January 11, 2018 #180 Share Posted January 11, 2018 Hi, we just booked room 13119 next to the Panoramic elevator. Does the elevator interfere with your balcony view? Can the people in the elevator see onto your balcony as they ride up and down? Thinking to maybe switch to cabin 13183. Any thoughts?

CruisingFacts Posted January 11, 2018 #182 Share Posted January 11, 2018 Does the Meraviglia sail through, or close to, the Lofoten Islands on its way to Tronso? Or does it steam past, so far west that we would miss any view of them entirely? The Lofoten Islands present spectacular photo opportunities and is too much of a shame to miss them both there and back. The itinerary maps on the MSC website do not offer a "larger view" option and aren't as specific as say Google maps, hence the need to ask. lachelli Posted January 11, 2018 #183 Share Posted January 11, 2018 Hello I am just wondering if anyone can advise on what beers are covered under the bar and restaurant unlimited drink package. From what I can find online it seems that Heineken is the only bottled beer covered, but I am interested in knowing what draught beers are included Thanks

Hi all, Cruise Critic will be onboard MSC Meraviglia May 31 to June 4, for a sneak peek of the new ship -- which will kick off with cruises in Europe before coming to Miami 2019. If there are any questions you have, or specific areas you'd like to see, you can start submitting requests now, and we'll do our best to honor them once we're on the ship. :) We also will be posting live updates to our Facebook, Instagram and Twitter pages (make sure to 'follow' us!), as well as writing a couple news stories and a live blog on what to expect. Stay tuned! G
elbowroom Posted January 26, 2018 #185 Share Posted January 26, 2018 I'm sure the answer is somewhere, but do YC passengers get priority on tenders if they're not a black or gold cardholder? Thanks

elbowroom Posted January 26, 2018 #187 Share Posted January 26, 2018 Thanks, curiously enough, the privilege list I have in front of me (in Spanish) omits the line "Priority access on Tender boats and during shore disembarkation." May be it slipped the translator's attention, as everything else is there.

With the way MSC are sneakily watering down benefits (see the Black Card thread), one never knows!

Beatlebazza Posted January 27, 2018 #192 Share Posted January 27, 2018 Hi We are currently onboard the Meraviglia and would like to say "don't believe all you read" about this ship. First off the ship is huge and there are passengers from every corner of the world. It is busy but then there are nearly 4000 passengers. The rooms are lovely and everything is spotless. The staff are fantastic and it is great to chat to staff who come from all parts of the world. The food is good. The evening meal is well cooked but small in portion although you can ask for two starters or two mains. The upstairs buffet is always busy but then it was on every cruise we have been on. The pizza is to die for though. The drinks package is great and there is a great range of drinks. The good thing is that if you order something that's not included they tell you. The majority of the passengers are Italians, who are fine. They do charge for things like water, but it comes in litre bottles which is great for taking to your room or on shore. Please don't believe the negative reviews. The ship and cruise is great and we would use MSC again.

If I book the Aurea package are all drinks included everywhere up to a certain dollar amount? Here's a link to photos of the most comprehensive bar list on Meraviglia from 2017 (from post #70 on). If you have trouble reading them, just right-click on each photo and select "Open image in new tab". You will then be able to zoom in: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2511337&page=4 Not all the bars will carry the full complement as some are smaller with less stock and some specialise, such as the Champagne bar. comet11 Posted February 5, 2018 #199 Share Posted February 5, 2018 So by the looks of these menus, most beers are NOT included in this order package? Is there a separate drink package that will include all drinks under $12-$15? Sent from my iPhone using Forums
Rare Beamafar Posted February 5, 2018 #200 Share Posted February 5, 2018 You can upgrade the Aurea included package to the deluxe (premium) package which covers all items except those with 2 asterisks which no package covers.
