We have a thread on how early you booked a cruise? But let's hear it:

Hi Boten...well, lets see, when I returned home from Century in January I was surfing the web and saw a fantastic price for Mercury....I think I called my TA in February to see why the price was so low for a solo.....she said..."supply and demand" for that particular cruise....I believe I booked and paid for it withing 6 weeks of sailing...pretty late

Next up...HORIZON Sept 18th to Bermuda!

For our very first cruise, we called a travel agency on May 8, and booked a cruise that sailed on May 24. We were rushing to get cruise clothes together. Our 25 year old daughter went with us and used a roll-away bed.
This was the Century Western Caribbean. We had such a wonderful time, we are sailing Saturday, June 12 for the Eastern Caribbean and taking 10 family members along. We booked this cruise about 7 monthes in advance. It's been a long 7 months. I'll take the 2 week booking any day.

Our Bermuda cruise was bookec on Tuesday and we sailed on Sunday. My son and his wife wanted us to really be able to cruise with them and they had previously booked the cruise, we called got a great great price and went with them. Great time because we were with them, horrible cruise, turned us all off to small ships forever the way she rocked and rolled her way to and back from Bermuda -- the Atlantic is not nice. We all agreed from that point on we leave from Florida or San Juan for the carib.

Our very first cruise was on the Norway in 1985. We booked on Thursday and left on Saturday, but it was still great.

A while back we were on the Navigator and booked a 4 dayer on the Monarch that left in 6 days. We had 3 days home and we were on the road again! Don't think I'd do it again.....way too much work but I still had a great time on both.

Up next Mariner of the Seas

Nice try Neal, who wouldn't?
If you notice, my question was for PAST experience.

Yes, but when I get back, it will be past, won't it?

Ten days! We booked on the inaugural cruise of the Zenith. We got a great price including air. The next day, I came down with a bad cold, but it cleared up the day before we had to leave. Best cruise we ever had!!

In September 2001, the cruise line (Renaissance) went bankrupt four days before we were scheduled to board. We scrambled to find another cruise, and booked one less than a week before it departed.
