hubby and I have narrowed our 25th anniversary and my 50th bday cruise down to the 10 night S. Caribbean on the Jade in Feb 2018. would love to see your pictures since the refurb if you have any! I've been on the Gem and I know its similar, but the few pictures/videos I've found of the Jade most recently have looked amazing, would love to see more!!

No pictures, but we were on 30 April Jade Transatlantic and the changes have made a huge difference. The Atrium in particular is much more contemporary, and the pool area is more spacious with the waterslide removed and the whole area refurbed. Staterooms have, in my wifes words, new soft cream colours and tasteful greys around the area where the TV is mounted. The only disappointment was at the Champagne/Wine bar area and Le Bistro restaurant on deck 6....no changes at all, but we were told new chairs would be taken on in Southampton provided by an Italian supplier.

We were on the Gem in October, and confirm the refurb on both ships has much improved the onboard experience.

Have you posted on the roll call for the Feb 2018 Jade cruise? There may be some information there as well.

I have been looking at this same cruise for Feb 16 never been on Jade or S. Carribean. Only thing DH are debating is balcony or picture window? We always go with a balcony but price jumps o believe $900 for balcony and having 5 new ports for us to do excursions not sure if we are going to go with balcony.

We were on the Transatlantic and the ship looks great! Similar to Gem, with fewer changes than made on the Dawn. One big disappointment for us was significant underuse of the very popular O'Sheehans compared to all the other ships. This seemingly caused by the fact that there were no bar stools at the bar! It remains a restaurant service vs. full service bar. It was never confirmed if they were to be delivered later in Europe. Hope so!

agreed! the balcony price is way up! I am a fan of balcony my husband doesn't care really so its hard to convince him to spend the extra money!

We booked a picture window but only thing that's bugging me it's our first 10 day cruise and not having a balcony😣 But we are trying to cut costs because daughter is getting married next summer☺

We did a 10-day in an inside once because we booked so late. It was fine - we just were out & about on the ship more than in our cabin. You'll have a great time anyway! :)

Agree-we came back on the T/A from Tampa to Southampton on Jade recently...in an inside as everything else was booked. Cabin was fine, refurbed nicely, just very very dark!!!! Jade looked good, much improved from our trip over on her to Florida in Oct/ Nov.

Atrium looked good, so did Spinnakers & Garden Cafe....we were also told the awful old chairs in Martini Bar, Bliss etc were going asap.

You will love the Jade, shes a nice sized ship, lots of space, we prefer her to Epic where the smelly smoky casino dominates one deck & the ceilings seem too low in the main areas.

I can't wait for Feb to get here and see the Jade. 4 of the ports are new to us and glad we got picture window so room won't be dark. It's been a long time since we have sailed without balcony but with so many ports and new boat to explore I'm sure I won't be spending much time in room. Does anyone no does Jade have Vibe area?
