How much money do you have to gamble to get any perks (OBC' date=' discounted cruises, etc.)? Also, do you get credit for playing table games? Thanks![/quote']

You do get credit for playing table games. I have long gotten OBC or casino cash on cruises. My wife has often gotten that and discounted cruises. When we got off the Breeze on Sunday, I got a free interior cabin on select sailings. The amount of money you need to bet (not lose) isn't clear to me.

From what I gather, it's more based on how LONG you play. On the Triumph last fall, I lost a LOT of money in quick stops in the casino, my friend lost significantly less, but spent significantly more time playing. He got better offers than me for future cruises.

I was told that it is all based on play time and average bet that you play. I was only playing Craps, and averaging ( per their screen) $20 per bet. I had to play for about 2.5 hrs a day for 7 days on a 8 day cruise before I got the drinks on us card.

If you play slots, you get it at 1500 points, which is about $3 dollars play through per point... so if you play $4500 dollars you should get the drinks on us card... or so it has been explained to me... at 500 you get $5 casino cash and at 1000 you get another $5 casino cash.

I dont really think that table games are rated fairly considering the amount of money that is wagered every throw of the dice or ever spin of the wheel, but that seems to be how they do it,

It is based on theoretical loss. The slots are $2.50 per point, not $3. So, it is $3,750 of play, not $4,500 for the DOU card. That includes both the money you put into the machine and any wins that you play through the machine. For example, I earned my first 600 points on $100 of coin-in. That means I payed in about $1,400 in winnings on that $100. My next 500 points cost me $200. Table play rates more slowly because theoretically, you lose less of each bet since many table games play close to their theoretical odds.

My husband and I have been on 5 cruises, losing right at 1000 total each cruise, 500 each, but playing blackjack about 3-5 hours every night. We've never gotten any perks, so I have NO idea how it's done. Wish I did!

If you have to ask, you will probably get no perks. As a blackjack player, I play $10 - 50 a hand. I play a couple of hours a night. I might get a drink or 2.

When you lose enough they will give you a drink.

You need to keep your sail and sign in the machine for points to accumulate. You need 1500 points (see math above) to get a Drinks on Us card for length of cruise for free drinks in the casino. You need 5000 points to get a Drinks on Us card on your next cruise first day.

The rest is a crap shoot.

  • I go on each cruise with a budget -- $400 each cruise--to gamble with on the cruise. Twice in the past 10 cruise I've gotten DOU. Hubby got the DOU card for the first time on the Dream last year. He was going poker, Ultimate Texas Hold'em and Craps. Neither of us got a bounce back, even though I had 4200 points. I go with a set budget and when I blow it, I'm done.

The way it was explained to me is a specific point level has little to do with getting any offers beyond the DOU card, unless on a Premier cruise. Cookies or strawberries to the cabin, free choice of bottled wine, or free steakhouse meals all depend on the particular casino's management team. Further more the BounceBack offers only go to the top 10-25% of casino players each cruise.

The diversity on percentage varies based on how many of the free cabins are still left during each offer period. SO those that sail earlier in the offer period will see more players being offered the BB. Couple that with the offer being basically based on a Bell Curve you can see players with low points (under 3,000) on one cruise get the BB offer while on another cruise you might need 4,000 plus to get the same because there is a large concentration of "High Rollers".
