It will be warm, but expect variations as you will be travelling through different microclimates. Usually wetter and windier in the Netherlands, a little warmer and milder along the Main and Rhine, Danube and Austria a tiny bit cooler (but Vienna could be hotter as built-up areas usually are) not sure about Hungary. Expect anything from 8 degrees in the early morning (after a long cool day) to 30 (sometimes above) in the afternoon. Rainy days are possible but will generally not feel unpleasant, temperatures should be around 14 to 22 then it really depends on what you experience when on your long trip.

thanks for your reply

looks like we will be in for a bit of all weather and a rain day will not be a problem as we are ex dairy farmers and use to driving rain and cold down to 5 degrees!!
