Are Additional Excursions Ever Added

I am interested in a particular excursion with Princess and the time slot we want is sold out. We booked the last two slots for the same excursion just later but I was wondering if anyone has ever seen Princess add additional tours when existing ones are sold out. We would really prefer the earlier time. I do realize I could go with a private tour company as well. Thanks for the feedback!

Sometimes Princess is able to add additional capability and sometimes they are not. It depends on the specific excursion and the specific tour operator. Sometimes they don't add the additional capability until after you are onboard and they have a better idea of the demand.

 

Also some people cancel up until the onboard cancellation deadline. If you aren't able to get the timeslot you want, talk to the shore excursions representatives onboard at their first office hours after you board. Ask them to put you on a waitlist for your preferred timeslot while retaining your tickets for your second choice time.

 

You didn't say what itinerary, what port, or what excursion. If you are talking about a bus tour in a large city, they may be able to add more buses. If you are talking about an excursion on a small South Pacific island, they may have already reserved every bus on the island. If you are talking about something like the Royal Military Tattoo in Edinburgh, they ate limited in the number of tickets that they can purchase.
