steinwayguy76 Posted June 13, 2017 #1 Share Posted June 13, 2017 Hi! Love Horseshoe Bay but wanted to visit another beach. Any thoughts? Sent from my SM-G930V using Forums mobile app
SailBadtheSinner Posted June 13, 2017 #2 Share Posted June 13, 2017 I would go to TB only if I wanted to snorkel. Otherwise I would go to a South Shore beach. You realize that TB and HSB are the only public beaches with complete amenities. Why not go to Warwick Long Bay Beach, and when completed there, walk to HSB, SBtS

gamblinrose Posted June 13, 2017 #5 Share Posted June 13, 2017 My vote is for TB (or short walk to St. Catherine's over the hill) if you want to explore or snorkle. Love looking at all the different types of fish using polarized sunglasses. Elbow if you want to swim/sun but if you need umbrellas, chairs and lunch, you're looking to spend about $150. TB has a small restaurant and you can get drinks/cocktails for reasonable price. Con: The beach at TB is small and dish shaped and get quite warm with not a lot of air circulation. smilz Posted June 14, 2017 #7 Share Posted June 14, 2017 Fort St Catherine's Beach is a short walk from TB. Once you are finished snorkeling you can walk down to that beach to swim from a beach with nice sand in the shadow of the fort. There is a second beach to the left of the fort down a flight of stairs that is very tiny but offers some additional snorkeling though not as good as TB. gamblinrose Posted June 15, 2017 #10 Share Posted June 15, 2017 As always, thank you to the sagacious SBtS. I think I'll go visit TB on Tuesday. Looking forward to seeing America's Cup on Sunday.
BellaBaci4 Posted June 16, 2017 #11 Share Posted June 16, 2017 Unless you are snorkeling, I say Elbow Beach
nana nancy Posted June 16, 2017 #12 Share Posted June 16, 2017 Is St Catherine's beach still available to the public? We went there years ago aand I thought it was the prettiest beach ever. We were in Bermuda when New Orleans was being destroyed by Katrina.
DKane Posted June 16, 2017 #13 Share Posted June 16, 2017 Fort St Catherine's Beach is a short walk from TB. Is it the flight of stairs that is very tiny or the beach? Excuse me, I haven't had my coffee yet:)
