DocShelly Posted June 17, 2017 #1 Share Posted June 17, 2017 Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to get out of the port in Toulon and get up to some of the wineries in Provence if I don't rent a car? I'm wondering how much a driver would be and/or if there are taxis lingering around the port? Thanks
Rare LHT28 Posted June 17, 2017 #2 Share Posted June 17, 2017 you could check on the Ports of call forum for ideas http://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?f=
cruiserking Posted June 17, 2017 #3 Share Posted June 17, 2017 Why not book an excursion with the ship. They will definitely have a tour that goes there. Much nicer than renting a car and trying not to get lost. You might also look at Tripadvisor.com to find any reputable tour vendors that do this trip. Just make sure you will be back in plenty of time for sail away. Jonathan
DocShelly Posted June 18, 2017 Author #4 Share Posted June 18, 2017 Hmmm? Really? I'm not a fan of shore excursions with the masses. I know it sounds ironic as I have my sorry self in a cruise ship--albeit a small one. I like driving around Tuscany. I'll rent a GPA.
