Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to get out of the port in Toulon and get up to some of the wineries in Provence if I don't rent a car? I'm wondering how much a driver would be and/or if there are taxis lingering around the port?

Why not book an excursion with the ship. They will definitely have a tour that goes there. Much nicer than renting a car and trying not to get lost.

 

You might also look at Tripadvisor.com to find any reputable tour vendors that do this trip. Just make sure you will be back in plenty of time for sail away.

Hmmm? Really? I'm not a fan of shore excursions with the masses. I know it sounds ironic as I have my sorry self in a cruise ship--albeit a small one. I like driving around Tuscany. I'll rent a GPA.
