Cruise Question

Have you ever watched the Travel channel about cruising. They state that the ships have to sail full to cover the cost of operating that particular cruise. They make their profits from the casino, bars, shops, excursions, and anything else they can charge you for.

As another poster mentioned, full capacity and all cabins booked are two different things. A cabin may accommodate four but only has two in it. The ship would sail full but not to full capacity.

Good thing the cruise line makes money from the casino , bars, shops , excursions, and anything else so they can sail at less then capacity

We will be on the Conquest in early November so we are going to see just what it is like. Usually we cruise in late January or early February but just wait that long. Still going to cruise in January. Anytime is a good time to cruise

My wife and I are going on a cruise in November. 11/05/17 how full or busy will this be considering kids are still in school?

It's rare to find a cruise ship sailing these days that is not sold out either because there are no cabins left or it has maxed out it's passenger count. Plenty of empty-nesters, newlyweds, MW/OC, and retirees wait to sail in the fall and spring.

Just so you know most NJ public schools have a week off each fall, this year it's 11/4-12/17, with many parents taking the opportunity to take a low season vacations including cruises. I'm not sure if other states hold this fall break.
