travler27 Posted July 3, 2017 #1 Share Posted July 3, 2017 Leaving on the Norwegian Jewel on Sept 9, 2017. I plan to ride the Bainbridge Ferry from Bainbridge Island to the downtown ferry terminal with no car. What's the best way to get from the ferry terminal to Pier 66? Seems like a long walk dragging all our luggage. I won't even attempt the bus and Uber is out (no smartphone) so I guess a cab is the only way. Will that work? Any other options? VibeGuy Posted July 3, 2017 #2 Share Posted July 3, 2017 It's a flat walk of just under a mile, but there will be a ton of cabs just outside the ferry terminal.
Sequim88 Posted July 5, 2017 #3 Share Posted July 5, 2017 We just walked it on Monday. The new waterfront walkway is a huge improvement over the old sidewalk. Much wider although it can still be crowded. Flat and smooth for pulling wheeled luggage - even with the glass skylight tiles. We saw lots of people with luggage. Only hitch at the moment is a one block or so section of the seawall project still under construction between Pier 66 and the Seattle Aquarium so you have to cross to the other side of the street but there is a nice walkway over there too. Then cut back over to the waterside. Not a bad walk at all.
