Restaurants in Jersey and Manhattan

Looks like we will be spending the night before our cruise in either Manhattan or possibly the Meadowlands area. So I am looking for suggestions on both sides of the river. I know NYC has a billion more to choose from, but Jersey is less expensive to stay. I am looking for mid priced or better, but not a Nobu caliber.

Unless you are going to be in Manhattan on a Sunday street parking is always a problem here. But is you figure parking garage costs into your budget there are many good choices on this side of the river. Enjoy your evening.

I love going to one of the Portuguese or Brazilian restaurants in the Ironbound area of Newark. Great food for very reasonable prices. There are many goid restaurants in Secaucus area so ask the hotel desk person where they recommend based on kind of food you're looking for.
