Trying to book 2 rooms online

I am trying to book 2 rooms online and cannot get the website to let me.

I can see that the 2 rooms I want are available because if I just try to book one room both rooms are showing up as available. I am trying to book 2 connecting balcony rooms.

I get as far as "choose next stateroom" but then it won't even let me pick any room (even though when I try to book just one room it is showing quite a few available).

It just says "no rooms returned".

This is driving me crazy because I don't know why it won't let me. I tried to do this a week ago and ended up having to call and I was on the phone for almost an hour getting the clueless person I was talking to book the rooms I wanted. I also wanted a 24 Hr hold on the rooms since we were bringing a friend of my teens so I needed to double check some of the personal info for the person before booking as I didn't want to incur any change fees. It seemed to throw this carnival employee over the edge as to what to do to make a 24 Hr courtesy hold. (So simple to do online by myself!!!). But since I was trying to book 2 rooms that time also it wouldn't let me.

Does anyone know why it is doing this? Does anyone have any tips on how to get around this? I called again today and got a better person who helped me quite simply and easily but it still irks me that I have to call in if I want to book myself via the website for more than 1 room.

Unless you're booking under a special rate (like the casino specials) you should be able to book 2 cabins. The first question it asks is how many are cruising. You will need to put in the total amount for all the cabins. The next question is how many cabins.

I don't know if you can 24 hour hold 2 cabins. Someone else will have to comment on that.

Well even before I get to the 24 Hr hold it is saying "no rooms returned" even though I know they are available.

I am entering 2 people in each room and following all the prompts just as I do when booking a single room.

I know I can call carnival but it is a real crap shoot on whether or not I get anyone who knows what they are doing and it seems to take so much longer than if I just do it myself online.

I just don't understand why something that should be so easy is so difficult.

I am not trying to book under any special and I am making sure to have 1 adult in each room etc.

I asked the carnival rep why I couldn't accomplish this myself online and his response was "the website can be tricky". Someone needs to fix their "tricky" website!

You mentioned a friend of your teen. We had a similar problem booking online and ended up having to call in. The problem was our 17 y/o. The cabin we tried to book for her was more than 3 doors away from us (even though she would be in with her 21 year old sister...). The PVP was able to get us squared away and actually found us better rooms.

What if the adult in the other room creates an account on line and tries to book the second room his or herself? Why do you necessarily have to do all the work for both rooms? Then you can link the reservations. You could run into a problem where one can book and the other cannot, but at least with a courtesy hold you could try. Or, see if there are multiple sets of adjoining rooms you would be OK with, try to book, and if you don't get next to each other, then call and have them switched.
