  1. I'd say they may be re-routed to NY and bussed up to Baltimore? And if anyone has one booked out of Baltimore in near future, may wanna be looking for something else. Now pray for anyone in the water right now...'āœ
  2. There will be 9 in our group going in September and I'm reading that the Blue Flag Taxi's only take up to7. We would like to fit in a minibus if possible. We want to go to Sea Glass Beach, the caves and a fort for sure with time in Hamilton. We there for 2 days. Any suggestions would be great!
  3. You should know better than to ask this question here on CC. Go to FB and ask so you don't get criticized by the TONS of rude, privileged folk that have taken over these boards.
  4. I won $2600 last cruise playing the coin pusher slot machine! It's called Power Push.
  5. Have you done this? I'm doing exactly that and wondered how long it takes to get from the port over to Avis on 2nd St and back.
  6. How far from the port of Miami would you estimate this Hyatt to be? We've stayed here a couple times many years ago for cruises out of FLL, but are cruising out of Miami this May. Valuetrip has a great price so it's worth a drive in the morning to stay so cheap.
  7. 4 drinks a day x 7days is $392 plus a $20 picture is $412. Assuming you drink 4 a day, this is the financial benefit for one 7 night cruise.
  8. We have taken many cruises and have never eaten dinner in the Windjammer. Next month on the Wonder we have to because our ship doesn't arrive in St. Thomas until 12:30 so our tour won't have us back in time for early dining. The specialty restaurants are sold out so we're going to do the Windjammer. Is it any different at dinner than at lunch? Main dining has themed dinners like "A Taste of Italy, Caribbean, France," etc. Does the Windjammer do this as well? Is the dress always casual! Thanks!
  9. Have you looked into returning the rental car to a Port Canaveral/Cocoa Beach location? There are 2 or 3 companies that do this. They will shuttle you to the ship. Then you can do the same in return and return the car to the airport. Otherwise, look into GoPort shuttle service.
  10. Anyone ever done this and how was your experience? We want to snorkel and hopefully see some sea turtles but also have some time for food and beach time. We were thinking of water taxi over to Honeymoon and going to Dinghy's who apparently offer snorkeling gear for rent.
  11. We are a group of 6 and would like to do some time at Orient Beach, then to Maho, then back to ship with a couple hours at each. Would we better doing a tour or should we just taxi from place to place? Any recommendations of a tour operator? Bernard's does not offer these option without booking private which is expensive!

    Mr. Sanchos

Rumor has it that PAYG has been stopped. Can anyone confirm this??
  13. Book Lyft or Uber ahead of time to avoid any surge pricing going down. Then use one of the shuttle companies back to airport. Lyft and Ubers can be REAL tough to get coming back, even if booked ahead of time because the drivers don't accept the jobs from those who book ahead because they know they'll make double from those who didn't due to surge pricing. I know some have had good luck, but have heard MANY nightmares from those got stuck.
  14. You could be a a thousand miles from wifi and these CGM's work. I've had zero issues.
  15. Raising gratuities and doing once-a-day cabin cleanings is the point that I stop doing extra tipping. And also with doing specialty dining a couple nights is the extra from my wait staff as I pay for those days anyway. When I had young kids that took extra from these people I always gave extra. Not anymore.
  16. I think a lot of people here must travel alone or as a couple and only take 2-3 bags which in that case I would just give them $5. BUT, if you're traveling with a family of 4 and have 6-8 bags, it is NOT necessary to give them $15-$20 or more to simply load those bags on a cart. If I did that for every person that handled our bags from the time we leave home to the time we get back home would be a LOT. These are who handle our bags during a normal cruise trip. 1. Airport parking lot to terminal shuttle 2. Shuttle from airport to hotel 3. Hotel to port shuttle 4. Ship Terminal 5. Port to airport shuttle 6. Shuttle to car at home airport. ALL of these people get a buck a bag or a little more as I usually round up. The cruise ship people don't deserve a nickel more for the same exact handling. In fact, these shuttle drivers sometimes are stacking up suitcases to the ceiling of their busses.
  17. 20 years ago the porters would take your bags from the curb to the ship with smaller carts. Now they load them on large carts and those carts are taken to the ship by someone else. $1 is PLENTY for simply loading them on the cart.
  18. $1 a bag has been the norm for years. Not bad since a lot of times they're taking them 10 ft and putting them on cart.
  19. Just seen the Rhapsody on the news sailing away from Israel this morning full of refugees. What a great thing for Royal to help out with.šŸ‘šŸ‘
  20. They're great keeping track of bags while flying, but once on the ship they're useless
  21. I'd hate to see my liver enzymes after being on a cruise for a week!!šŸ„“
  22. It's not the walls, but the connecting doors that allow noise to get through. You can hear basically everything that's going on in the other room. Hopefully you end up with quiet neighbors! White noise apps for your phone can help with it.
  23. I am VERY curious about getting 2 cruises on 1 offer. I've never tried so really don't know if it's possible but I get LOTS of 3 and 4 night offers and would be great if I could book one of each to get 7 days total. Anyone ever tried/asked?
  24. If you're on FB there are some groups you can join for LOTS of information about this program. Just search Casino Royale.
