Happily@Sea Posted July 7, 2017 #51 Share Posted July 7, 2017 Note to self: While the Volendam Tracy Arm is officially 10-10:30, it looks like the actual transfer of the passengers to St. Phillip is actually about 9:15. Next July 20 will not be a good day to sleep too late.Roy Now you just have to remember where you put the reminder.
Rare rafinmd Posted July 7, 2017 #52 Share Posted July 7, 2017 Now you just have to remember where you put the reminder. I hope you'll forgive me if I do this every week and by the end of the season it will be ingrained in my mind. Roy

Happily@Sea Posted July 7, 2017 #57 Share Posted July 7, 2017 It's not a bad looking day for summer in Juneau.:D Kathi, I don't know if you had already signed-off, but Amsterdam expects Volendam to leave between 9:30 and 9:45 and that she would then follow her out. Happily@Sea Posted July 7, 2017 #67 Share Posted July 7, 2017 Now the question is will webcam person redeem him/herself by giving us a zoom. We had a close-up about an hour ago when they were playing/training/drilling with the port side boats - all of them.

Rare rafinmd Posted July 7, 2017 #70 Share Posted July 7, 2017 A nice zoom. Copper talked yesterday about the first lifeboat doubling as a rescue boat and being smaller. I think I see that from the current angle. Roy
Happily@Sea Posted July 7, 2017 #71 Share Posted July 7, 2017 When I was on the Amsterdam in December, my room was right up front. I think I remember that the first lifeboat/fast rescue only holds 90 instead of the usual 150. I didn't get to see them drop her only bring her back up when they were done with their exercises. Rare rafinmd Posted July 7, 2017 #74 Share Posted July 7, 2017 I guess that's about it for today. Overall a very good day on the webcam. Would have been perfect with a zoom on the Amsterdam tieup but you can't win them all. Thanks Kathi, Lou, Dave, and fellow addicts. Have a great weekend.
